So I love listening to and worshipping with BODers on Sunday. I get a semi-cool perspective since I’m sometimes up in the tech booth. Here’s my latest thought.
So we’re worshipping to “Hosanna” a week or so ago and if you’re like me you usually pay attention to the first verse and it always seems like… “well that author or songwriter put his most powerful words in the first verse…right?… because he/she wants to capture his audience and get them praising God.”
This particular time though, I caught myself waiting for the second verse. Knowing what was coming.
I see a generation, rising up to take it’s place
with selfless faith, selfless faith
I see a near revival stirring as we pray and seek
we’re on our knees, on our knees.
As I watched from the tech booth that morning that’s what I saw taking place. It wasn’t just words. it was happening right there, as students and parents and children and me we’re all answering a call. The call of my generation. rising up and worshipping.
So what’s your favorite worship songs or words that get you raising your hands and yearning for a generation to rise?
